Wedding Reporter

Wedding bells rang shortly before 11 am on Saturday, July 19, 2003 in Reno, Nevada, for Mr. Sidney Aragon & Miss Michelle Morphis of Pittsburg, CA. In attendance were the bride's mother, C. Courington and her longtime companion L. DePass-Stulgaitis. Also present were the couple's children, Aliyah Christine Morphis-Aragon and Alyssa Jordan Aragon.

The bride wore a cream colored, Jones of New York cuffed pant suit, the groom a midnight-blue dress suit and tieless dress shirt. The mother of the bride wore a dark blue, three-quarter length jacket and dress ensemble with a vintage blue flower broach and Ms. DePass-Stulgaitis wore a red, full length Baumgardt original evening dress. Both children wore taffeta: Ms. Morphis-Aragon a full length, yellow halter dress and Ms. Aragon, a sage green chemise. Hair for the new Mrs. Aragon and Ms. Morphis-Aragon was styled at the Cour-de-Pass Salon in downtown Reno.

The traditional wedding proverb was satisfied in the following manner:
Something old--a vintage watch from DePass-Stulgaitis' grandmother for the bride; for the groom, his shoes. Something new--the brides' outfit and shoes, the groom's shirt. Something borrowed-the bride & groom borrowed gold hoop earrings and a silver thumb ring, respectively, from DePass-Stulgaitis. Something blue--for the bride a blue fused glass art pin; for the groom, his midnight blue suit.

The small ceremony was initiated by an abbreviated walk to the alter by the children, followed by a courtly procession down the aisle by the
couple themselves. Shortly thereafter, Alyssa Aragon was removed from the room by Ms. DePass-Stulgaitis due to a fit of ill temper. The proceedings then continued without incident and was accented at its' conclusion by the grooms' recitation of a self-penned poem to his new bride. Many in attendance were reduced to tears.

The nuptials were performed at the Arch of Reno Wedding Chapel in downtown Reno. The bridal party was transported to the Chapel in a white stretch limo, with the officiate at the wheel.

The reception for the wedding party, hosted by the bride's mother, took
place directly afterward in the Garden Patio restaurant at Harrah's Reno. All in the wedding party were in attendance. The newlyweds honeymooned at Circus-Circus in Reno.
